Highlights

Thrills and Heartbreaks, Change and Steadiness

This decade had a little bit of everything. Mike Sherman took over as both head coach and general manager, leading the Packers to four straight playoff appearances amidst a momentous redevelopment of Lambeau Field that has kept the franchise financially stable ever since.

Next came Ted Thompson as GM, Mike McCarthy as head coach, and a major transition from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers at quarterback.

Through it all the Packers experienced the thrill and heartbreak of playoff overtime games in consecutive weeks (2003), and coming agonizingly close to another Super Bowl in a second Ice Bowl-like game that didn’t end in the Packers’ favor (2007).
