Green Bay made the cut, despite calls for its ouster, as the NFL absorbed three teams from the All-America Football Conference – Cleveland, San Francisco and Baltimore – and ended a four-year football war for dollars and players. The newly shaped league will have 13 teams. “All these rumors that Green Bay would be dropped out of the National League ought to be laid to rest now,” Packers president Emil Fischer said.
