One week after defeating Dallas in the divisional playoff round, thanks in part to a controversial overturning of a Dez Bryant TD catch on fourth down in the fourth quarter, the Packers suffer their most heartbreaking defeat in some time in the NFC Championship Game in Seattle.

Leading by 12 points with less than four minutes to play, Green Bay let a trip to the Super Bowl get away and fell, 28-22, in overtime.

The Packers had countless opportunities to put the game away, from multiple goal-line failures that led to field goals, to botching an onside-kick recovery that allowed Seattle to score consecutive touchdowns and turn a 19-7 deficit into a 22-19 lead.

Green Bay recovered to kick a game-tying 48-yard field goal to get the game to overtime, but the Seahawks scored on the first extra possession to end it. A 35-yard pass to Doug Baldwin on third-and-7 was followed immediately by a 35-yard TD pass to Jermaine Kearse to close the crushing loss.
