In a battle of unbeatens in the Iron Man era of pro football, the Packers defeat the New York Giants, 20-6, as 10 men play the full 60 minutes and the other close to 59 minutes.

The victory gives the Packers the inside track to their first NFL title (based on final league standings), which they clinch two weeks later with a 25-0 shutout of the Bears at Wrigley Field, finishing the only unbeaten season in team history (12-0-1). The Giants wound up 13-1-1.

On the season, the Packers outscore their opponents 198-22, posting eight shutouts and not allowing more than six points in any one contest. The lone blemish on Green Bay’s record, a tie against the Frankford Yellow Jackets, ends 0-0.
