The Packers’ fifth stock sale ends, netting $67 million to put toward a $146 million stadium construction project.
More than 268,000 shares were sold. In a little over 17 months, construction of the new south end zone was completed at Lambeau Field, increasing the stadium’s capacity to 80,735. The project also included two new stadium entry gates, plus a new sound system and two new giant video boards.
Since then, another stadium construction project renovated the football facilities, added a 50-foot replica of the Lombardi Trophy in a new east-side gate and produced a new Packers Pro Shop, Packers Hall of Fame and restaurant (1919 Kitchen & Tap) in the Atrium.
